I am German and I spend a lot of time living in Crete, in a village called Plakias on the south coast. On this website I’ve put together resources, information and tips about travel in Crete.  I want to help people planning to explore Crete independently on a small budget. This is a ‘living’ website with constantly updated information, especially in the next few months. All suggestions and help from readers are greatly appreciated.

This website was originally written in German between 2004-2008, and contains – for now – much more detail. You can view the German version of this website at Kreta-Reise.info.
