Dinosauria Park Crete

The Dinosauria Park is a theme park in the village of Gouves Crete. As the name suggests, the amusement park, like the famous film Jurassic Park, deals with the extinct dinosaurs. Most of the visitors are tourists from the surrounding big holiday resorts like Hersonissos or Malia.

On the one hand, one sees in the Dinosauria Park many, huge replicas of dinosaurs. Many children like the gigantic dinosaurs very much. Relatively new is the Dino Hospital. Further attractions are for example a museum and a 5D cinema. There is a restaurant in Dinosauria Park. There is also a dinosaur shop (Dino Shop).

A visit to the Dinosaur Park can be combined with a visit to the large and interesting Aquarium of Crete. This is less than one kilometre from Dinosauria Park.

Directions Dinosauria Park 2018

The Dinosaur Park is easily accessible by car and bus.

By car you drive from Hersonissos on the old road to the big city of Heraklion. In Gouves follow the signs to Aquarium Cretaquarium. About one kilometre before the Aquarium you pass the Dino-Park.

Almost all of the many buses between Heraklion and Malia via Gouves and Chersonissos stop at Dino Park in both directions, as do many buses between Agios Nikolaos and Iraklion. The aquarium and the theme park with the dinosaurs have the same bus stop. While the dinosaurs are only a few meters from the bus stop, the aquarium is about 10 minutes walk away.
